FAA mandates new air traffic training in an effort to reduce near-collisions of airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration launched the “Stand up for Safety” campaign Wednesday as part of the agency’s recent initiatives addressing the rise in near-collisions of airplanes. Air traffic controllers will be required to attend monthly training sessions that will dive into topics driven by data and seasonal challenges.
