Episode 159: WCW Great American Bash 1990

This is one of the best shows from this era of WCW and one of the greatest Great American Bash shows of all time! Your hosts, Troy & Greg, have personally seen this show 3-4 times. It was Sting's crowning achievement of FINALLY beating Ric Flair to sit atop the mountain as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. The future Undertaker, "Mean" Mark Callous, also takes on Lex Luger for Luger's United States Title. This was actually Mark's "audition" for the WWF, which we discuss on the podcast. The NWA World and United States Tag Titles are on the line in matches. Vader debuts for WCW against the Z-Man. There are quite a few outdated things on this show that may make you cringe and...oh yeah...El Gigante debuted. But, other than that...this was pretty great! Also, in the news, WCW may be losing Ric Flair very soon, they can't get rid of the Iron Sheik, Terry Gordy & Steve Williams are trying to come in as a tag-team, everything is coming up Milhouse for the WWF, there are some big talent trades going on in Japan, and much more!
