Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, known in Japan as Super Mario: Yoshi's Island (スーパーマリオ　ヨッシーアイランド Sūpā Mario: Yosshī Airando?) is a platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game reappeared in 2002 for the Game Boy Advance under the title Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island, and featured a remake in 2006 for the Nintendo DS, titled Yoshi's Island DS and a port for the Wii Virtual Console.[2] The game was produced by Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto, and Takashi Tezuka served as one of the game's directors.
