Deputies from the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office made a dramatic intervention on June 18 after a woman was reported kidnapped at gunpoint in a 911 call from a home in Turlock. In video released by the sheriff’s office, one 911 caller, a 12-year-old boy, says the “father of his little brother” has a gun and is “trying to kill my mom”. Aerial footage shows the car stopped at the Hills Ferry Bridge, which was blocked due to construction. The video shows the suspect, named by police as Angel Primitivo Garcia, 22, holding the woman. Deputies were giving commands and beginning to negotiate with him, the sheriff’s department said. The suspect then released the woman and was taken into custody. Garcia is facing charges including kidnapping, false imprisonment, assault likely to cause great bodily injury, domestic violence, child endangerment, burglary, criminal threats, and brandishing of a replica firearm.
