Dr. Michael Guillén Titanic Submersible Experience

As the Science Editor of ABC News television, in 2000 I was invited to dive in a deep-water submersible to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean to report from the wreck of the Titanic.

I continue to pray for the five people on the missing submersible and the rescuers searching for them in the Atlantic. I survived a chillingly similar ordeal more than 20 years ago. The experience of being completely and utterly on your own is hard to describe to anybody who hasn't been through it. I’m praying mightily that the five souls aboard Titan will survive, as I did.
