“Incredibly Rare” Roman Mausoleum Uncovered Beneath London Construction Site
During construction work in the Southwark borough of South London, a remarkable find was made—a Roman mausoleum adorned with exquisite mosaic flooring.
Described as an “incredibly rare” discovery, the Museum of London Archaeology has confirmed it as the most well-preserved Roman mausoleum ever found in Britain.
Excavations of the site revealed an array of artifacts, including coins, fragments of pottery, and roofing tiles, the Good News Network has reported.
