House Oversight chair vows to keep investigating Hunter Biden despite ‘sweetheart plea deal’

On Tuesday, House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) expressed his determination to continue investigating Hunter Biden, despite what he referred to as a lenient plea deal reached with federal prosecutors.

Comer stated that the charges against Hunter Biden and the favorable plea deal he received would not hinder the Oversight Committee’s ongoing investigation.

He emphasized their commitment to uncovering the full extent of President Biden’s involvement in his family’s alleged schemes, The Hill has reported.
