I recently purchased the Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt V2 GPS Cycling/Bike Computer and it has completely exceeded my expectations. Its a game-changer for anyone whos currently struggling with a Garmin or any other cycling computer.
Compared to my original Bolt, this new version is so much better. Its easier to use and far more dependable. The basic features of the cycling computer work great, providing useful information about my ride.
Though, it doesnt have a touch screen and the storage for maps is somewhat limited, which may be a concern for some riders. Additionally, I struggled to find the setting to change the dimming feature to save battery life, which was disappointing.
I bought this bike computer to replace my Karoo 2 that was lost during a trail ride. While the Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt V2 does the job for basic bicycle requirements, it isnt as functional as the Karoo 2.
If you want more features, Id recommend the Karoo 2. One of the biggest pros of this cycling computer is that it excels at pausing when I stop riding.
However, the downside is that the pause screen takes up half of the display, making it impossible to see my stats until I start moving again. Nevertheless, with a little customization, this can be modified.
The app that pairs with the cycling computer can be annoying at times, as it often bombards you with introduction screens and tutorials instead of taking you straight to the main display.
It can feel cumbersome when all you want is to quickly change something. Overall, this is a great cycling computer, especially if youre not looking for anything too complicated or require too many extra features.
While it may not be as functional as Id like it to be, Ill give it more time to get used to, as its still a reliable and easy-to-use device.
