In this Knife Making 101 video Dan Berg from Berg Knife Making demonstrates how to use a belt grinder to profile steel into the shape of a blade. This Introduction to Knife Making video shows all the tools and equipment needed. Dan uses a 36 grit belt on an OBM 2x72 belt grinder to shape steel into a knife blank. Pin holes are drilled using a drill press and a variety of belt grinder attachments are used to make the process easier.
