Beijing recently banned its own official statistics because they are too revealing. A major Chinese news portal Sohu produced some posters based on data from the State Council, the National Bureau of Statistics, and so on. It showed the risk of depression among jobless Chinese is 31%, 3 times higher than those with a job. The number of juvenile suspects prosecuted rose by 43% from 2020 to 2022. China has 80 million people with disabilities; most of them are poor. China also has 20 million people suffering from rare diseases.
