The Sitka Gear CORE Midweight Baselayer Bottom is a phenomenal investment for anyone who spends a lot of time in cold weather. Not only is it incredibly comfortable, but it also has a great fit that hugs your body and keeps you warm.
This layer is very thin, which makes it perfect for layering under other clothing items to help keep you warm on those frigid mornings. I even wear this over my under armor and it works great - its like having an extra layer of insulation without the bulk.
When paired up under the Sitka Incinerator bibs, this layer performs exceptionally well even in challenging weather conditions. Its especially important when you’re hunting at 9000 ft in a wind-driven sleet storm and visibility falls to near zero.
This layer serves as a great underlayer for the Sitka big game system as well - I wear it for my southwest coues deer hunt in January with great success.
