Lionel Messi was not in the squad as Argentina earned a 2-0 victory on Monday in a friendly against Indonesia in their short tour of Asia.

The only previous meeting between the two countries was at youth level when the South Americans recorded a 5-0 win at the 1979 U-20 World Cup. A certain Diego Maradona grabbed a brace that day.
