To be quite honest I was a bit concerned once I removed everything from the box because the torch is plastic. Now having said that I was very surprised at how easy it was to fill and it lights right up every time as you can see in the video I shared.
I have the flame at a lower setting. The flame setting can be adjusted from the bottom of the torch. I havent used this with drinks yet but it seems to me to be a nicely put together set.

I gave this a try, my favorite spirit of choice is whiskey, and surprisingly it works very well! I tried the apple and it literally did give my drink a Smokey apple flavor.
