Blinken is a piece of shit. Taiwan deserve to be independent although many in Taiwan want to be one big china ruled by taiwan democratic leaders. Although Taiwan is not independent still they have their own army:) own coin, laws and they are ready to fully engage the chinese if atacked. They are preety much independent. Maybe Blinken is playing both ends but he is still lacking some backbone. I mean at the end Blinken says Taiwan to have the ability to defend itself. Meaning USA will send weapons. If you send weapons you support the independence of a state and of a regime.
