Southeast states face severe heat and storms

Over 50 million people in the Southeast are facing the potential of severe weather including tornadoes and record-breaking heat. A tornado in Mississippi has resulted in one fatality and nearly two dozen injuries. The storm has caused damage to homes, vehicles, and power lines, with forecasters also warning of new threats of hail, tornadoes, and high winds across multiple states in the Southeast.
