The Righteous & The Wicked
In heaven, The righteous & the wicked are two halves of the same whole
On earth, they are two paths that can be taken

If injustice is never experienced, no one will know how to be righteous
So even unjust experiences; so even indignation are necessary,
So that the good in heart may learn how to amend their own behavior

Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser
Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.
Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.

If no one has witnessed the offenses of the wicked, who would know how to be righteous?
If no one has witnessed the hubris of the conceited, who would have compassion for the lost?

A righteous man knows the rights of the poor
A wicked man does not understand such knowledge

The thoughts of the righteous are just; The counsels of the wicked are deceitful.
When the wicked increase, transgression increases,
but the righteous will live to see their fall.

Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.
Whoever is righteous plans peace, but the heart of the wicked plans only evil

Whoever is righteous does not flee from the light, but accepts it, & dwells therein
Whoever is wicked, however, does flee from the light, for they fear condemnation

The wicked deceive for the sake of their own gain & self-interest
The righteous cleave to the truth, & no lie can be found in their mouths

Heaven causes the plans of the righteous to succeed
But the plans of the wicked are confounded

Worthless witnesses mock the execution of justice & the wicked accept bribes in secret
But both pervert true justice

With knowledge a house can be built, & with wisdom a good neighborhood can be chosen
But it is only with understanding & harmony that a family will remain together

By wisdom the homes of the righteous will prosper
But by vice the homes of the wicked will perish
