Was Solomon wise or not? Hmmm. Sometimes we place people on a pedestal and end up disappointed, don’t we. Sometimes we even demand more of them than of ourselves. There is nothing wrong with expecting good from others, but setting anyone up too high is our own fault. Then, when they fail in some way, it becomes just as much our issue as it is their issue. We need a good dose of discernment, confrontation and graciousness to deal with human failings. For ourselves and for others.
