The third of four major championships in 2023 sees the U.S. Open head to Los Angeles Country Club from June 15-18, less than two weeks removed from the news of PGA and Liv merging — a headline that created some interesting merged tour odds.
But for now, let's focus on this major. So often the toughest test of the year, the U.S. Open breeds heavy-hitting winners, so seeing Scottie Scheffler atop the board alongside Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, and now five-time major winner Brooks Koepka should not come as a surprise.

This major may not prove to be as dramatic as Nick Taylor's 72-foot putt to capture the RBC Canadian Open, but nonetheless, we break down the favorites and more in our full 2023 U.S. Open golf odds below. Be sure to check out our U.S. Open picks and predictions before placing your wagers.
Odds to win the 2023 U.S. Open Favorites to win the 2023 U.S. Open
Scottie Scheffler (+750)
Scottie Scheffler went on a run for the ages in 2022 which — like Rahm this season — resulted in a dominant win at the Masters. He's already successfully defended his Phoenix Open title this year then followed that up with a win at THE PLAYERS, proving that last year's success was no fluke.
Finished runner-up at Brookline last year and at the PGA Championship two weeks ago and has a game that can win on any course. He'll most assuredly be a threat to win at LACC.
Jon Rahm (+850)
The 2021 U.S. Open champion Jon Rahm is back among the favorites after a hot start to the 2022-23 season that culminated in a win at the Masters.
Despite a quiet major championship season last year, his best finish came here at the U.S. Open, finishing T12 at Brookline. He's fallen out of the World No. 1 spot again but he'll be eager to get it back with a third major trophy.
Rory McIlroy (+1,000)
Unlike the first two favorites, Rory McIlroy took place in the RBC Canadian Open, finishing -12 which was good for T9. This came after Rory spoke out about this week's major golf news in which PGA and LIV have decided to merge.
Rory's first of four major championship victories came at the 2011 U.S. Open at Congressional as a 21-year-old. He lapped the field, winning by eight shots.
He was in contention at Torrey Pines in 2021 and again at Brookline last year but wasn't able to seal the deal. Will this be the year he gets back into the major championship Winner's Circle? Best U.S. Open bonuses
