During his interview on State of the Union on Sunday, 2024 presidential candidate Chris Christie talked about giving the American people ample time to plan for a change in retirement age and social security. He said that the changes would affect people in their 30s or 40s now but not those who don’t have enough time to prepare. He called for a swift bipartisan decision as to avoid a 24% cut in everyone’s benefits if changes aren’t made by 2034.
