Clashes break out amid rally against high-speed Lyon-Turin train

Scuffles erupted as thousands rallied in southern France against construction of a new high-speed train line between the country and neighboring Italy. The activists claim it would destroy the sensitive Alpine environment. As the clashes broke out, local police used tear gas to disperse the crowd.
