Air show to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Italian Air Force

An air show was held in the capital Rome for the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Italian Air Force.
Within the scope of the air show, which started yesterday at the Practica di Mare airbase near Rome and will continue until tomorrow, aircraft from the past to the present in the inventory of the Italian Air Force were exhibited, while demonstration flights were performed with some historical and currently used aircraft.
In the demonstration flights, the historical Ca-3 aircraft, which was previously in the inventory of the Italian Air Force and used during the First World War, as well as the "Spitfire" aircraft used during the Second World War and the F104, one of the first fighter jets, took part.
In the show, a flight group of 24 aircraft, consisting of T-346 model fighter jets used in training, Eurofighter Typhoon and F35As, performed a low flight over the base in a formation labelled "100".
The air show also featured solo performances by Eurofighter Typhoon, AMX Tornado, T-346, C-27J transport, F35A, F35B aircraft.
In the last section, "Frecce Tricolori", a 10-aircraft aerobatic team of the Italian Air Force, took the stage. The show ended with the figure of "Frecce Tricolori", which uses MB339 aircraft, drawing the Italian flag in green-white-red colours in a semicircle with its smoke.
