I AM SPARTACUS! 1834 World Chess Championship [Match 4, Game 17]
6
This is the seventeenth game of the fourth 1834 unofficial world chess championship match between Louis-Charles Mahé de La Bourdonnais and Alexander McDonnell.
La Bourdonnais has already been crowned champion of the fourth match, but they will play out the remaining games regardless - that is how they rolled in 1834.
So, McDonnell has absolutely nothing left to lose.
This one is a fast Evans Gambit - will McDonnell win a consolation point, or will he get crushed even further?
