3,000-year-old pre-Hispanic mummy unearthed

Archaeologists from San Marcos University in Peru have discovered a mummy estimated to be around 3,000 years old. Scientists believe that it dates back to the of Manchay-era culture because of the intricate burial arrangements found in the site, near the capital Lima.

According to investigators, the remains belong to 'an individual male subject, approximately 30 to 50 years of age at the time of his death.’
