Jake posted a #short on #tiktok about how #spanishflu directly affected #ww1 and of course people were quick to jump in and say he was wrong, and that the Spanish Flu happened after #worldwar1 but Jake has something to say about that. That fact is Spanish Flu appeared before the end of the war in #1918 and it was the chief cause in #germany cancelling an offensive in the spring and summer of 1918 which would go on to tip the scales more in favor of the allies, which directly affected Germany's ability to negotiate. #history is not taught well in the United States and this is one of many examples.
