Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu tours arms factory

Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu toured a military-industrial complex in the Omsk region of Russia on Saturday (June 17) to observe the production of tanks and the repair of weapons and military vehicles.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said production of military vehicles and weapons had been scaled up over the previous few months.

Armoured vehicles and military equipment produced at the site was being loaded onto trains to be sent to troops at the front, the ministry said in a statement.
