In this latest episode #38 of The Farm Hand's Companion Show, Pa Mac gives a broad overview of the old-fashioned method for making hay using hand tools like the scythe, hay rakes, and pitchforks. Is haymaking with primitive tools still a viable option for the small farm or permaculture homestead today? Pa Mac thinks it is, and in this edition of the show he explains the many benefits to this low-cost technique for making hay, and also lays out the "pros" of such methods over the more expensive and modern hay equipment.

Be sure and subscribe to the Farm Hand's Companion channel to keep up with the progress as Pa Mac takes an undeveloped piece of property and turns it into a small subsistence farm. Watch for new episodes as often as Pa Mac can crank 'em out and still run a small farm. (As long as he's alive and kicking, he's most assuredly farming and filming!)
