June 17, 1976 - Oak School League Baseball from Hinsdale, Illinois (Audio from Cassette)
16
Pulled from a (very) old audio cassette tape. A group of friends would gather for as many as 100 games each summer to play a variation on baseball. Played on the blacktop behind Oak School, the game involved a tennis ball and baseball bats. Statistics were kept and each game lasted six innings. If a fielder got to the ball before the runner reached first base, the runner was out. Hits to the opposite field were outs (unless there were enough players to fill the outfield).
Ken Owen is behind the microphone for this game with an assist from Jeff Bryant. Tracy Kasson, Jeff Bryant, Rob Wilson, Mason Matschke, Dave Owen, Jhan Walters and Terry Dancer are the players.
