Motorcycle/Car Accident by Livingston Post Office, LIVINGSTON, June 16, 2023 - Shortly before 8 pm on June 15, 2023, a Honda motorcycle, driven by Jeffrey Gibbs, 33, of Liberty, was east-bound on West Church Street. As Gibbs was passing the intersection of West Church and Briarway (next to the post office), a navy blue 2017 Honda CR-V, driven by Carline Swilley, 77, of Livingston, that was in the right lane ahead of Gibbs attempted a sudden left turn directly in front of Gibbs. The motorcycle slammed into the driver's side of Swilley's SUV. Both vehicles came to rest right there. An Ambulance from Acute Medical Services was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit, Firemen from Woodville (who happened to be in the vicinity), and Officers Jacob Edwards and Sergeant Tito Reyes with the Livingston Police Department. Gibbs was wearing a helmet but sustained serious injuries. Gibbs was transported by ambulance to a landing zone and was prepped to be flown from Livingston. Swilley was physically okay. Traffic on West Church was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Swilley was cited for the unsafe turn. Gibbs' motorcycle was recovered by Smith Towing out of Livingston while Swilley's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.

Special thank you: Ken with Ken's Towing
