The pitfall to Synthetic Rope is it does not do well if it runs across a sharp steel edge. It can compromise the integrity of the fibers and break under load. Worst case scenario.
We added spacers to your Ironman 4x4 Monster Winch to change the angle that the line was taking out of the winch. Then had to do some grinding on the bumper for clearance. Not a bad way to spend a few hours of our day.
