If such knowledge of was available to the masses, it would force a rise in the level of consciousness and understanding in the public at large. It would force society to adopt a higher level of intelligence and Spiritual Maturity.

Also, if someone was misusing that power, it would be far more recognizable to the public and the miscreants could be delt with properly.
