They were a pain to get off and left a sticky residue. But once I got past that, assembly was fairly easy. The set comes with everything you need to get started, including the necessary tools.
Assembly took me about an hour and a half, by myself. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this set! The cushions are thicker than I thought they would be, and the glass top table is a nice touch.
