Key West is for fun in fair weather | Ep. 211

Though no longer needing to sail to Key West for customs clearance, still I would like to fill a propane tank and enjoy a night or two on the town. I have spent time in Key West before, but in my opinion it is not a place for a long term stay on a boat unless you are staying at a marina. Lack of shelter, poor holding, and ferocious winter cold fronts make for a lively time best avoided in my opinion. Luckily Newfound Harbor, a little over 20 miles away, provides much more security when the weather turns foul.
