China Shows Support for Russia's in Ukraine War with Delivery of Armored Vehicles to Chechnya

The Chinese government has once again publicly shown its support for Russia in its war in Ukraine, by delivering a shipment of armored vehicles to the Chechen Republic. The vehicles, which are manufactured by the Chinese defense enterprise Shaanxi Baoji Special Vehicles Manufacturing, were showcased next to the palace of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

The delivery of the armored vehicles is the first time that Chinese-made military equipment has entered service with Russian units. It comes as the war in Ukraine has entered its fourth month, and as the United States and its allies have imposed a number of sanctions on Russia in an effort to pressure it to withdraw its forces from Ukraine.

“We have purchased (since the beginning of the war – ed.) more than a thousand items of military equipment for our soldiers, including 128 items of armored vehicles,” Chechen government officials said.

The Tiger armored vehicle is manufactured by the Chinese defense enterprise Shaanxi Baoji Special Vehicles Manufacturing.
