Close your eyes and take three deep breaths in through your nose , hold for four seconds and then exhale deeply. Lose yourself in the birdsong, and the rustling of the trees.

Alternatively you can sit in a chair in your garden, get yourself comfortable. Take off your shoes and place your feet on the ground or footpath. Take in your three deep breaths. Imagine you're feet putting down golden nourishing roots into the ground. Then imagine your roots of gold moving slowly up your body, winding its way up your body and upto your crown chakra. You should be able to feel every muscle and part of your body relax as you listen to the morning birdsong. When you're ready open your eyes, wiggle your fingers, toes and shake down your shoulders and move your legs. You should now be ready to start your day.
