What the heck, i think the parents are doing this to get attention. They are like those parents who force a kid to do sports and perform on stage and have a strict regime, only that this is worse because medical interventions well they are ireversible.You can potentially heal and recover from an injury but a sex change operation is preety much more dificult to heal. I guess the parents will say "the kid wanted this" justifying medical abuse. In "civilised" countries people lost contact with reality thinking this is somehow ok.
