Ridiculous Men - Confessions Bk.5 Ch.9-10

The Bible calls atheists fools. A person who restricts themselves to a materialistic worldview limits themselves so severely. They are like children who stick their fingers in their ears to avoid some uncomfortable truth. There are more permanent things in the spiritual realm than in the physical. This material universe will give way one day to the eternal and spiritual. Why limit yourself to such a pitiably small and depressing existence? Shakespeare wrote, “There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” Come and drink from the eternal fount!
