Cuban FM denies claims of Chinese spy base on island, condemns ‘new disinformation operation’

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez delivered a televised address Monday night denouncing the “unfounded” allegations of a Chinese spy base on Cuban soil. Rodriguez accused the U.S. of spreading the information as a pretext to maintain the American embargo against Cuba. “We are witnessing a new disinformation operation similar to the many others in the United States throughout its long history of hostility against our country,” said Rodriguez.
