Part 3 - The Rise and Fall of The Makeover Guy

Well, things started looking up when a friend of mine, Julie Johnson, who had been a producer on ""Good Company,"" pitched me for a fashion felon makeover on Miss Opras' show in Chicago. I got the call on a Friday evening and overnighted my demo reel on Saturday. It was received on Sunday. Kandi Amelon, one of the producers for the national talk show, was hesitant that I would be too polite. Still, she took the risk and called me during a busy client day. I flew out Wednesday morning and started shopping until late that evening upon arrival. The show aired live on Thursday, February 16th. I flew home to silence. So much for national publicity! Still, all were all impressed and told me I'd be back. I didn't know it would be two years later.
