Part Three: The Rise and Fall (and the rise and fall...) of "The Makeoverguy®"

Well, things started looking up when a friend of mine, Julie Johnson, who had been a producer on "Good Company," pitched me for a fashion felon makeover on Miss Opras' show in Chicago. I got the call on a Friday evening and overnighted my demo reel on Saturday. It was received on Sunday. Kandi Amelon, one of the producers for the national talk show, was hesitant that I would be too polite. Still, she took the risk and called me during a busy client day. I flew out Wednesday morning and started shopping until late that evening upon arrival. The show aired live on Thursday, February 16th. I flew home to silence. So much for national publicity!
