Negative Nellie

It is definitely, no doubt about it, easier to focus on the negative right now. Why? Because there is so much of it! Deception is rampant and as people listen up to false narratives time and time again, it becomes a fake reality, a bondage of deception. People are anxious, angry, bitter, mean spirited and it is easy to focus on this kind of thing more than we do the positive that is also happening all around us. God is still at work, creating and maintaining is His thing. There is so much around us that is miraculous, the amazing things of the Lord, the things He is doing. Yes, our world is changing and some of the morality changes make us sick to our stomach. But, we can’t become “Negative Nellies”! God is still here and He is still working on our behalf. There is so much in our world that is still so very beautiful because God is still in control and He has not abdicated His authority to evil. Beauty exists and it exists in Jesus, in His way, truth and life. As we tap into God’s miraculous flow of personal relationship and we listen up to His Word, hearing His Promises, our mood can quickly change from negative to positively great as we recognize the goodness of our God, focusing on His faithfulness and trustworthiness. God is still for us, we have not lost His loyalty and devotion. He loves us! This is our enough, our positive that trumps the negative the enemy of our soul is dishing out. Yes, there is a lot of negative, but their is also positive and we can choose to look past the negative and let our focus rest on God and believe Him that He is working in the unseen for our good. Praise God! He is here, He is in control and our future is in Him.
