Arron Blakey is proud of his performance against an experienced bare knuckle campaigner: "I'm absolutely buzzing. I've been visualizing that for months and months. As you could see in the ring, I was absolutely over the moon with it."

This is how he reacted when he got the call to be on the Leeds card: "Oh, over the moon. Rico (Franco) was one of my coaches. He put me forward to it and I didn't shy away from it. I knew this was for me. I love having a fight. Win, lose or draw, I'll have a tear up with anyone."

This is how he saw the ending of the fight: "I can't quite remember, but I predicted I'd knock him out. I used a lot of feints, which is what we've been working on. So I fainted, and I have seen him flinch and sort of look away and put his hands up. I know I've got heavy hands. So I thought if I land on him, I knew I'd drop him and I thought he wasn't getting up. He didn't want to get up. He said he couldn't see, but he didn't want to get up."

Competing with bare knuckles for the first time was a new experience for him: "I've never done it, but I've had plenty of fights and stuff. I thought it'd be worse than what it was. I've been feeling a few little nerves and adrenaline walking out. But I want to go again straight away. I love fighting."

The tough training camp with Rico Franco has paid off for Blakey: "It's been intense, I'll not lie. But it's paid off. I've been in camp eight weeks, training twice a day, sparring some of the toughest people I've ever sparred with. And it's been tough, but it pays off. I've sparked him out in the first round."

He is now ready for his second BKFC bout: "I loved it. I just like feeling that connection. I want to go again. George Thorpe might be a fight. There's loads of fights out there, but I just want to fight. I'm not going to call anyone out. Win, lose or draw. I love a fight. If anyone rings that phone, I'm sure I won't be able to say no."

Morgan Starkey's next fight will be at #BKFC46 in Newcastle on Julys 1st in a middleweight bout against Krystian Nadolski.
