#LeoBercier Shows Love of “Putting Knuckle to Bone” at #BKFC44

In assessing an impressive performance that saw him garner three knockdowns before the eventual finish, Bercier said, “I knew he was going to be tough. He’s got a lot of experience, but I’ve also got a lot of experience. I know how tough I am, so I wasn’t too worried.”

When asked if he saw the openings in there, Bercier stated, “Absolutely. Absolutely. He didn’t have his hands up. He didn’t have a guard. He had no head movement. He was really flat-footed. I just immediately felt like I could unload at any time and catch him, so.”

This was the fourth BKFC fight overall and the third one in Montana for ‘Bushido’. Bercier was galvanized by hometown crowd love and partisan support.

He feels the state breeds a certain level of toughness in those who live there and was elated to indulge in his love of putting knuckles to bone.

The combat veteran has close to sixty pro bouts across MMA and gloved boxing. Now 3-1 in BKFC specifically, Bercier has a one hundred percent finishing rate in bare-knuckle boxing.

His only plan for the bout was to come out and score the knockout. The streak is still alive and Bercier has never gotten outside of the third round in his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship tenure.

Currently in his early 40’s and “aware that father time isn’t on my side”, Bercier still sees a few more left in the tank. That is of course if he keeps having these sorts of performances where he doesn’t sustain much damage.

As far as what’s next, the disrespectful trash talk was devoid from Bercier and his only intention seemed to be having a beer with his opponent.
