Russia sends nuclear weapons 3 times more powerful than used in Hiroshima, Lukashenko says

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said his country would be receiving nuclear weapons from Russia “three times more powerful” than those used at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, during an interview with Russian state TV on Tuesday, June 13. Lukashenko was interviewed by Russia-1 journalist Olga Skabeyeva during a visit to a military facility in Minsk, according to the Belarusian president’s office. Video of the interview was also released by the presidency. Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Lukashenko on June 9, where the pair discussed the shipping of nuclear weapons from Russia to Belarus. Credit: President of Belarus via Storyful
