Medical Travel Bag Everyone to Carry for Abroad Traveling
What's in my Bag - Doctor Edition - with a little update!! I've seen many you tubers do this, so I thought I'd show you what I bring in my backpack and what I bring to work every single day!
Here is a list of items that everyone should carry in a medical travel bag when traveling abroad:
Medications: Bring enough of your medications to last for the duration of your trip, plus an extra few days in case of delays. Also, be sure to pack any prescription medications in their original bottles with your doctor's name and contact information clearly marked.
First aid supplies: This should include bandages, antibiotic ointment, pain relievers, anti-diarrheal medication, motion sickness medication, and insect repellent.
Water purification tablets: If you're planning on drinking water from streams or rivers, be sure to pack water purification tablets to make sure it's safe to drink.
Sunscreen: This is essential for protecting your skin from the sun's harmful rays. Be sure to choose a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher and reapply it every two hours, or more often if you're sweating or swimming.
Insect repellent: This is important for protecting yourself from mosquitoes, which can transmit diseases like malaria and dengue fever. Choose an insect repellent that contains DEET and apply it according to the directions on the label.
Spare glasses or contact lenses: If you wear glasses or contact lenses, be sure to pack a spare pair in case you lose or break yours while you're traveling.
First aid reference: This could be a book, a website, or an app that provides information on how to treat common injuries and illnesses.
In addition to these items, you may also want to pack a copy of your medical history, a list of your allergies, and your contact information for your doctor and any other relevant medical providers.
It's also a good idea to check with your doctor or travel insurance company to see if there are any specific medications or medical supplies that you should bring with you, depending on your destination.
By packing a medical travel bag, you can be prepared for any unexpected medical situations that may arise while you're traveling.
