Drug deal likely sparked Denver mass shooting after Nuggets’ NBA win, police say

According to the police, a shooting occurred in downtown Denver while fans were celebrating the Nuggets’ first NBA championship win.

The incident is believed to have been triggered by a drug deal that went awry.

The violence resulted in 10 individuals being injured, including one of the two individuals who were arrested in connection with the shooting, the Associated Press reports.

Chief Ron Thomas stated during a news conference that all of the injured individuals, comprising nine men and one woman, are expected to recover.
