Elizabeth Holmes objects to court ordered victim restitution due to ‘limited financial resources’

Attorneys for Elizabeth Holmes argued in a court filing Monday that the former Theranos founder and CEO should not be forced to pay $250 a month in restitution once she’s released from her 11-year prison sentence. Holmes and her former boyfriend and co-founder Sunny Balwani were ordered to pay over $452 million in restitution to victims of her fraudulent blood-testing startup. Holmes reported to a Texas woman’s prison last month.
