Deadly Sales Trap

Do you remember the fear of this happening as a kid? You're walking with your parents through the mall and there's people everywhere, and you look over and you see something cool, so you follow it, and then you see another cool thing, and then you follow that. And then before you know it, you look up and you're like, where did mom and dad go?

And you're totally lost and panicked. Well, the same thing can happen to you in sales, and in fact, it's one of the most deadly sales traps. See, when you're in sales and you're doing things that work, you're following a system. But what happens is we get distracted just like the kid who's following the shiny object at the mall, and we end up trying something new and we do that.

And then the next time we're in a sales appointment, we're slightly adjusting just a little bit more, and then we adjust just a little bit more and a little bit more. And then before you know it, we are leagues apart and totally lost our close rate plummets. We stop making money and we wonder what the hell happened.

And all we need to do is stay true to the course and stick to the system that's working. This becomes our anchor and our grounding force to make consistency and a high level of income in sales.
