Once the monks come out transport yourself around the room for a bit while Anakim comes down to get you. I dont waste time with the monks because I find when I do I am open to arrows from other monks so I just transport until the altar is clear.

Transport to the altar & start a barrage of attack on Anakim immediately going side to side you should be able to swiftly defeat him.

Hope this helps. I couldn't beat him forever then I had the thought, hey go up on the altar & fire from there. The onslaught just seems to be less when you get there.
