The St. Croix Premier Musky Casting Rod, PM is one of the best rods Ive ever fished with. From the first try, I knew that this was a good one. St. Croix is known for making top-of-the-line rods, and this one is no exception.
The construction of the rod is flawless, and the cork handle is very soft to the touch. I love this rod because its an 8ft, medium-heavy, fast-action rod thats perfect for musky fishing.
I pair it with a Shimano Calcutta 300CTE reel, which is the perfect combination. When Im out on the water, I can make long casts with ease, and I have plenty of power when fighting 50# class musky.
One of the things I love about this rod is how durable it is. I use mine for saltwater fishing, and the blank has not lost any strength. All I have to do is wash off the salt, and its good to go!
The St. Croix Premier Musky Casting Rod, PM is designed to handle big fish, and it does so with ease. Its the perfect rod for catching big Northern Pike in Quetico.

Ive used other rods in the past, including g.loomis rods, but none of them come close to the St. Croix Premier Musky Casting Rod, PM. The only downside to this rod is that its a little stiff for "MH" class.
