Sakya Monastery Tibet

Sakya Monastery, located in Sakya County of Tibet, is a renowned Tibetan Buddhist monastery that belongs to the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism. The Sakya school is one of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism. While Sakya Monastery is primarily known for its distinctive architectural style and valuable Buddhist scriptures, it is not particularly associated with chortens (stupas).

Chortens, or stupas, are more commonly found in other Tibetan monasteries, such as Jokhang Temple in Lhasa or various monastic complexes in the Himalayan region.
